How to Use Your Walk-Up Song

⚾ Step 2: Add It to Your Walk-Up App

Most teams use apps like BallparkDJ / similar walk-up apps. 
This takes about 30 seconds once your file is downloaded.
 

From your phone/tablet 

1. Download your song from the link

2. Save to the Files app

👉 In BallparkDJ:

• In "Select Music" section, choose → "EXTERNAL SOURCES" 

• Select your downloaded file
   

👉 In Walkout Songs App: 

• Click the "Settings Gear Icon"

• Under "Data Management" select "Imported Songs" Folder, Then click the + Sign Icon in corner, and select your song.  That song will then show in your Songs library, and say "import successful".
  Now Make it your players song: 

• Select Player and "Tap to Select Song" 

• Song Source, select "Imported File Collection" 

• Select your song title 
  
   

💡 If You Don’t See Your Song

• Make sure the file is fully downloaded

• Check your Downloads folder/ cloud 

• Try reopening your walk-up app

⚾ Important: You DON’T Need Apple Music for Most Apps

​

💻 Adding Your Song from a Computer (Apple Music / iTunes)

Apple Music does not allow direct MP3 uploads from your phone.

​

👉 To use your walk-up song in Apple Music, you’ll need to add it from a computer first.

​

On Mac (Apple Music/iTunes):

1. Download your MP3 file to your computer

2. Open the Music app

3. Drag and drop the file into your library

4. Connect your iPhone and sync your music

On Windows (iTunes):

1. Download your MP3 file

2. Open iTunes

3. Click File → Add File to Library

4. Select your song

5. Sync your iPhone

👉 Once synced, your song will appear in Apple Music on your phone

⚾ Important: You DON’T Need Apple Music for Most Apps

• other walk-up apps

👉 do NOT require Apple Music

You can:

• download your MP3

• upload/import it directly into the app

✔ No subscription needed, no apple import steps 
✔ Works instantly

⚠️ About the Dugout Dude App

​

The Dugout Dude app works differently:

👉 It only supports songs from Apple Music Subscription 
👉 It does not allow MP3 uploads

So:

• Your walk-up song will NOT work in Dugout Dude

• You would need an Apple Music subscription to use that app
